Lily of the Valley Baptist Church was organized March 30, 1969, at the home of the late Dr. J. B. Bolton (Founder) in his family’s garage. The late I.V. Bolton , who was president of Mt. Hope Bible College presided over the first service. Present in the service were the late Rev. S. Bennett of Bethany Baptist Church who served as moderator, Rev Gusta Booker (Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church), Rev. C. Dickson and the first ten members of the church.

On August 10, 1969, the membership entered the first building of our present location – 10711 Dulcimer. On July 1, 1989, Rev. Bolton was called home and shortly thereafter, we were blessed with another fine leader, Rev. B. James Noel, Sr.   Rev. B. James Noel was installed as pastor on October 22, 1989. He quickly began to establish himself as a man of obedience and dedication to the will of God. Along with Pastor Noel came his wife (Donna Noel) and their three children (Daphanie, Billy Jr. and Darelle).

From the modest but Spirit-filled beginnings of the first structure to the current structure (7,200 square feet) phase one building currently housing services, the little church on Dulcimer continued to grow in God’s grace and guidance.  Phase two plans include an edifice built adjacent to the current structure, thereby allowing this building to become the fellowship hall.

In 2009 based on the vision given by God under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Lily of the Valley became Southeast Love Fellowship church. Just as God gave a new name and vision to Abram and Jacob, so it was with LOVe Fellowship. God fine- tuned and focused the ministry of the church to reflect His will toward all – LOVE. The mission of LOVE Fellowship is “Producing Whole People in a Broken Society” through lifestyle and ministry seeking the deliverance and healing for all who will come.

After 28 years of faithful and dedicated preaching and teaching, the late Pastor B. James Noel Sr. was called home on September 14, 2017 to be with his Heavenly Father. His oldest son, Min. Billy Noel Jr. began serving as interim pastor for the remainder of the year. On February 11, 2018, the membership formally elected Min. Billy James Noel, Jr. as their newly elected pastor. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor B.J. Noel Jr. prays that God’s grace and guidance will cover him, as he leads the church in unity of faith and knowledge in Jesus Christ.
